You will ensure GAAP compliance, assist with audits and regulatory filings, and partner with accounting leadership to improve processes and internal controls. Experience with ERP systems like Workday is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of progressive general ledger or financial accounting experience.
Proficient in US GAAP and ability to reconcile balance-sheet accounts.
Experience with Workday or other ERP systems preferred.
Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
Experience with nonprofit or government-contracted accounting a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage the full accounting cycle for HUD entities supporting 200 housing units for disabled individuals.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses for month-end close.
Oversee general ledger across multiple entities to ensure GAAP alignment.
Consolidate financial data and prepare footnotes and management reports.
Coordinate external audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
Assist with Form 990 schedules and other regulatory filings and improve controls.
