Job summary

Okaloosa Gas is seeking a GIS Technician I to support the Operations department. This role applies basic GIS, GPS, and CAD knowledge to design, implement, and maintain spatial data and maps, converting hand drawn as-builts to GIS features with proper coding.

Under supervision, you will update spatial databases, generate maps and reports, and assist with technical documentation while maintaining safety and quality standards in a district that emphasizes customer service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Basic GIS knowledge with GPS and CAD
• Experience converting hand drawings to GIS features
• Ability to update spatial databases and generate maps

Responsibilities

• Apply GIS/GPS/CAD with limited supervision
• Review construction work orders for drawings compliance
• Maintain and update district spatial databases
• Create maps/reports to communicate results to departments
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and workflows
• Stay current with GIS trends and training
