Job summary

Brevard County Public Works Department, Surveying & Mapping, seeks a part-time GIS technician to assist the survey team with digital maps, sketches and exhibits, and to input GIS data for asset maps.

Work up to 24 hours per week, Monday through Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with salary at $19.52 hourly. Requires 30 semester hours toward a technical degree or 2 years CAD/GIS experience; valid Florida driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 30 sem hours of college coursework toward a technical degree in Surveying, Engineering, CAD, GIS, Geomatics, or related field.
• Or two years of CAD drafting or GIS input and mapping experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update digital survey maps, sketches, and exhibits.
• Input GIS data for producing GIS asset maps.
