Job summary

Brevard County's Public Works Department, Surveying & Mapping unit, seeks a permanent, full-time professional to support the county's surveying operations. The role involves supervising and operating all survey activities and may include acting as County Surveyor, signing and certifying surveys, reports, and related documents as the licensed Surveyor and Mapper.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Surveying and Mapping (or closely related field) plus three years of post-licensing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying and Mapping or closely related field.
• Plus three (3) years of progressively responsible post-licensing land surveying experience.
• Education/experience may be substituted year-for-year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and operation of all survey activities for the County Surveying and Mapping Program.
• Provide supervision to clerical, technical, and professional staff.
• May act as County Surveyor, including signing and certifying surveys, reports, and other documents as the licensed Surveyor and Mapper.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Surveying and Mapping, Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering, Land Surveying, or a closely related field
