Job summary

McMillen Inc. is seeking a GIS Specialist to support scientific and engineering efforts through cartography, geospatial analysis, data visualization, and data management.

You’ll develop maps for permitting and engineering projects and independently manage GIS tasks across multiple projects. You will apply your geospatial expertise to a variety of studies, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative GIS solutions and high-quality data products.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of GIS/spatial analysis experience in engineering, hydrology, or environmental science projects.
• Bachelor’s degree with applied geospatial and GIS coursework or credential.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online (ESRI web apps).
• Intermediate cartographic production skills.
• Knowledge of spatial projections/datums; geodatabases, GIS file formats.

Responsibilities

• Develop maps and cartographic products using ArcGIS Pro.
• Manage geospatial datasets for engineering and permitting projects.
• Perform geospatial analysis to support environmental, engineering, and scientific initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver GIS solutions.
• Maintain GIS databases and metadata to ensure data quality.
• Develop field data collection surveys using Field Maps Designer and Survey123.
• Opportunity to develop web apps (ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards) as time allows.
