Job summary
McMillen, Inc. is seeking a GIS Specialist to join the Geospatial Group. You will support permitting and engineering projects with cartography, geospatial analysis, and data management, and grow to apply your GIS expertise across science and engineering studies.
The role emphasizes independent GIS project management across multiple efforts, with opportunities to develop web GIS applications as interest and time permit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an environmental science field with applied geospatial and GIS components or credential.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online; ESRI web-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop professional-quality maps and cartographic products using ArcGIS Pro.
- Manage and organize geospatial datasets for engineering and permitting projects.
- Perform geospatial analysis to support environmental, engineering, and scientific initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative GIS solutions.
- Maintain GIS databases (including metadata) and ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Develop surveys for field data collection using Field Maps Designer and Survey123.
- Opportunities to develop web applications (ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards, Leaflet) as time allows.
