Job summary

McMillen Inc. is seeking a GIS Specialist to support scientific and engineering projects through cartography, geospatial analysis, data visualization, and data management. You will develop maps, manage datasets, and apply geospatial solutions across multiple projects within our Geospatial Group.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and advance GIS capabilities while learning new software and technologies. This role emphasizes accuracy, data quality, and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an environmental science field with an applied geospatial and GIS component or credential.
• 0-5 years of experience applying GIS and spatial analysis in support of engineering, hydrology, or environmental science projects.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online; ESRI web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop professional-quality maps and cartographic products using ArcGIS Pro.
• Manage and organize geospatial datasets for engineering and permitting projects.
• Perform geospatial analysis to support environmental, engineering, and scientific initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative GIS solutions.
• Maintain GIS databases (including metadata) and ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Develop surveys for field data collection using Field Maps Designer and Survey123.
• Opportunities to develop web applications using ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards, Leaflet, and others.
