Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a GIS Specialist to support our Geospatial Group.

You will develop maps, manage geospatial data for permitting and engineering projects, and perform advanced geospatial analyses for multidisciplinary studies. As you grow, you’ll apply geospatial expertise to science and engineering projects, independently managing GIS efforts across multiple initiatives and contributing innovative GIS solutions to the team.

Qualifications

• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ESRI web-based applications.
• Intermediate experience creating professional cartographic products.
• Knowledge of geospatial analysis concepts and spatial statistics.
• Familiarity with geospatial libraries and data formats (GeoJSON, KML, DEM, etc.).
• Willingness to learn new software and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop professional‑quality maps and cartographic products using ArcGIS Pro.
• Manage and organize geospatial datasets for engineering and permitting projects.
• Perform geospatial analysis to support environmental, engineering, and scientific initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver GIS solutions.
• Maintain GIS databases (including metadata) and ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Develop surveys for field data collection using Field Maps Designer and Survey123.
• Explore development of web apps using ArcGIS Experience Builder and Dashboards when possible.
