Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a GIS Specialist to support the Office of Geospatial Information (OGI) by developing GIS applications, managing ArcGIS Online policies, and guiding geospatial solutions for state agencies. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field with strong GIS/IT emphasis.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and extensions (Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst, 3D Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst).
• Working knowledge of geodatabases and database design.
• Experience with ESRI cloud-based technology used by ArcGIS Online.
• Skills in Python (ArcPy/ArcGIS API for Python), Arcade, JavaScript, or SQL programming desired.

Responsibilities

• Consult and closely work with the GIS Team Manager to evaluate and plan organizational GIS needs.
• Conduct outreach to counties, municipalities, and other stakeholders for census activities and GIS tasks.
• Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and work on specific GIS projects and activities within the agency/division.
• Serve as an expert on spatial technology matters and provide guidance on GIS data acquisition and geodatabase management.
• Develop ESRI ArcGIS Online Web applications (Experience Builder, dashboards, field maps, hub site) and implement ArcGIS Online/Portal policies.
• Provide training and troubleshooting to GIS users and help staff with GIS needs (data creation, editing, GIS desktop issues).
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
• Pass background checks and participate in related screenings.
