Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a GIS Editor in New Jersey to update geospatial data within maps. You will start on-site for eight weeks of comprehensive training, then move to a hybrid schedule based on client needs, with weekly rotations to sub-headquarters for print distribution.

Candidates should have 1–2 years GIS experience and familiarity with GIS apps; MicroStation or AutoCAD is a strong plus. Some field work may require using your own vehicle in a union environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years GIS experience required (school or work).
• Ability to update GIS data within maps and datasets.
• MicroStation and AutoCAD experience is a strong plus.
• Valid driver’s license for potential field work in NJ.
• Onsite training for 8 weeks with potential hybrid/remote work based on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GIS-connected models from multiple data sources such as work orders, field reports, and drawings.
• Perform GIS analysis and generate maps, reports, tabulations, and prints for field requests.
• Track asset lifespans, history, inspections, and attachments within the GIS system.
• Resolve data conflicts and connectivity issues through office or field investigations.
• Support major projects, relocations, and load rearrangements with GIS outputs.
