Salary Range: $49,465.79 To $130,285.52 Annually
The GIS Mapper series performs technical cadastral mapping, and geographic information systems work necessary to create, maintain, analyze, and quality-control the Office’s parcel, ownership, subdivision, taxing district, and related spatial data. This work supports the accuracy and completion of the annual assessment roll.
Employees research and interpret deeds, plats, surveys, legal descriptions, condominium documents, easements, rights-of-way, aerial imagery, and other property records; update GIS and Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal systems; resolve mapping discrepancies; prepare maps and related products; and provide mapping information to employees, governmental agencies, property owners, and other customers. Work must be performed in accordance with applicable laws, Department of Revenue requirements, professional mapping standards, and Office policies and procedures.
The three levels are distinguished by the complexity of assignments, degree of supervision, level of independent judgment, demonstrated technical proficiency, and responsibility for quality assurance, training, and project coordination:
