Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a GIS intern to gain hands-on experience in geospatial analysis and data visualization. The role involves supporting map production, data editing, and GIS database management using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

Applicants should be pursuing a degree in a related field and demonstrate knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and basic Microsoft Office skills. The position is based in Round Rock, Texas, and offers exposure to multiple service lines within HDR’s employee-owned

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Planning, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Experience with ArcGIS Online web maps, dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, or Python scripting is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Gain real-world experience on projects by developing and implementing geospatial and data visualization solutions.
Assist with spatial analysis, map production, data editing, and GIS database management using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Support field data collection and QA/QC of GIS datasets.
Collaborate with GIS staff and project teams on a variety of assignments under direct supervision.
Participate in mentoring and young professionals' programs.
Perform other duties as needed.
