Job summary

HDR seeks a Senior GIS Analyst to lead large GIS analysis projects and collaborate with non-GIS teams and clients. You will develop spatial models using Python and ArcGIS, lead budgets and resources, and ensure QA of GIS tasks. You will supervise GIS staff and drive project success while delivering clear reports and insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of GIS experience; advanced degree may offset 4 years.
• Proficient with ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Online and extensions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, reporting with charts/tables.

Responsibilities

• Independently organize and conduct large GIS analysis projects as Project Manager or team leader.
• Collaborate with non-GIS Project Managers and clients to apply GIS on projects.
• Develop vector and raster spatial analysis models using Python or GIS scripting.
• Lead for project marketing, budget development and resource scheduling.
• Prepare QA plans and supervise GIS tasks to completion.
• Supervise other GIS professionals and ensure successful outcomes.
• Perform other duties as needed.
