Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a GIS Intern in Round Rock, TX to gain real-world experience by developing geospatial and data visualization solutions.

You will assist with spatial analysis, map production, data editing, and GIS database management using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, while supporting field data collection and QA/QC of GIS datasets. This is a great start for students pursuing engineering or geospatial studies.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement geospatial and data visualization solutions.
• Assist with spatial analysis, map production, data editing, and GIS database management using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Support field data collection and QA/QC of GIS datasets.
• Collaborate with GIS staff and project teams on a variety of assignments under direct supervision.
• Participate in mentoring and young professionals' programs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
