Job summary

Q3 Contracting is seeking a Construction Mapper for our Little Canada, MN office. The role focuses on data collection, map creation, and coordination between field crews and customers to document installed utilities and produce As-Builts.

The position involves reading prints and GIS maps, processing field data in Excel, and maintaining accurate billing and mapping records. Prior mapping experience is preferred, with strong attention to detail and clear communication.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Products.

Responsibilities

• Data entry / Data collection.
• Digital filing.
• Professional communication.
• Processing field data including utility locates, measurements and compliance documents.
• Read and understand underground utility prints.
• Reading utility maps including GIS.
• Create billing/mapping rough sketch forms for premises.
• Liaison between customers and field crews on mapping issues.
• On-site measuring and documenting installed utilities.
• Creating paper maps documenting utilities as they are installed.
• Create complete As-Builts documenting work completed.
• Reading sewer As-Builts to guarantee no conflicts with installed utilities.
• Processing mapping, billing, and material information using Excel.
• Data backup using Egnyte.
