Job summary

Vantor is seeking a GIS DevOps Engineer to design and deliver scalable GIS backend services for geospatial data at scale. You will build CI/CD pipelines, implement infrastructure as code, and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly (or willingness to obtain) and extensive experience in DevSecOps, container tech, and distributed teams. Expect on-site SCIF work in Herndon, VA or St.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, or willingness to obtain.
• 14+ years of total professional experience in a technical support role.
• Proven DevSecOps experience.
• Production Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Proficiency with container technologies (Docker/CRI-O).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
• Ability to collaborate with distributed teams and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to work 90% in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA or St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across cloud and/or on-prem environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable containerized application delivery.
• Implement infrastructure as code and automate processes.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents.
• Develop platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams.
