Job summary

The Mohegan Tribe of Indians Of Connecticut is seeking a GIS Developer to design, implement, and maintain GIS applications, databases, and web mapping solutions that support Tribal programs. The role works with Planning, Natural Resources, Public Safety, and other departments to ensure data integrity and secure spatial data, advancing sovereignty and governance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of GIS development experience, strong ESRI product knowledge, and proficiency with Git and SQL

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in GIS Technology, Geography or related degree.
• 3 to 5 years of experience developing GIS applications.
• Experience with ESRI Software Platform (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS) and Safe Software FME/Flow.
• Experience with Git, Visual Studio, and other IDEs, tools and toolkits.
• Experience with data editing in a multi-user versioned Enterprise Geodatabase.
• Experience with Relational Databases (Microsoft SQL Server).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GIS applications and web mapping solutions.
• Collaborate with Tribal departments to support programs and services.
• Manage enterprise geospatial databases and ensure data security and integrity.
• Automate workflows and support data governance and sovereignty.
• Coordinate with IT and development teams using ESRI tools and FME/Flow.
