Job summary

Tribal GIS is seeking a GIS Administrator to create and maintain geospatial data, develop GIS programs, and interface with GIS and other systems under the Natural Resource Director. You will gather data, support tribal departments, and train staff in GIS tools.

The role requires independence, strong data management, and the ability to translate user needs into GIS solutions within a tribal government framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems or 2+ years GIS experience.
• GIS Certificate is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in GIS software such as Esri ArcGIS; programming languages Python, SQL, JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize and maintain geospatial data for tribal community.
• Participate in planning meetings with geospatial input.
• Perform geospatial analysis and produce reports and GIS products.
• Implement web-based mapping applications for information dissemination.
• Prepare and maintain maps, drawings and tables with GIS data.
• Manage GIS projects from inception to completion.
