Job summary

The State of West Virginia's Office of Environmental Health Services seeks a GIS DBA 1 to provide technical support for the GIS and technical applications team. Under supervision, you will assist in managing spatial datasets, enterprise databases, and GIS application development, ensuring data integrity, security, and reliability.

You will collaborate with GIS, IT, and regulatory groups, develop web apps with ASP.NET Core and JavaScript, and use Python to automate workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with CS or GIS coursework.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and SQL Server.
• Python for workflow automation.
• Web development knowledge (ASP.NET Core, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of hydraulic modeling and geospatial analysis workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing spatial datasets and enterprise geodatabases.
• Support ArcGIS Enterprise and SDWIS querying and QA/QC.
• Develop web applications with ASP.NET Core and JavaScript; automate with Python.
• Liaise with GIS, IT, and regulatory teams; translate findings to stakeholders.
