Job summary
North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) seeks a GIS/Data Solutions Analyst I to support land use and mobility options in the Arlington area. You will assist with data editing, analysis and mapping of multimodal transportation options including bikeways, sidewalks and transit layers.
The role requires solid GIS fundamentals and ArcGIS Online expertise, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS/Spatial Sciences or Urban Planning with GIS focus.
- One year or less of related work experience.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Familiarity with data editing, geocoding, and mapping.
Responsibilities
- Assist with GIS needs for planning projects including data sources, editing, analysis, and map creation.
- Provide technical support to program-area GIS users via a ticket process.
- Prepare and conduct training and best-practice meetings for program GIS users.
- Serve as liaison between program GIS users and agency GIS coordination staff.
- Use ArcGIS Online to distribute data through dashboards, maps, and apps for external users.
