Job summary

North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) in Arlington, TX 76005 US (Primary) is offering an Intern – Land Use and Mobility Options internship. The role supports planning in land use and transportation, bicycle and pedestrian planning, and community schools through coordination, research, and data analysis.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a local college and can work up to 30 hours per week while studying.

Qualifications

Must be attending an accredited college or university in a degree-seeking program during employment.
No work experience required, but at least one year of school-related experience is expected.
Candidate should be comfortable using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; basic GIS knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

Working with supervisor to compile and summarize project information for planning studies.
Assisting with the collection, process, and analysis of land-use, transportation, and demographic data.
Entering data and maintaining spreadsheets, files, and other information systems.
Creating and editing maps, and processing GIS/ArcGIS Pro data.
Drafting and preparing reports, presentations, checklists, documents, outreach content, and education materials.
Performing quality control on completed work.
