Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Data Analyst to support GIS-driven analytics for the electric utility network. You will perform complex spatial and relational data analyses using ArcGIS, FME, SQL, Python, and REST, and produce dashboards and maps to inform decision making.

Responsibilities include data quality, reporting, and collaboration with stakeholders, with a willingness to support emergency restoration efforts across the service territory.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative field.
• MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
• GIS Professional (GISP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define problems and objectives; determine data needs; design collection tools and reports.
• Evaluate spatial and non-spatial data; assess if reporting meets end user requirements.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare documents, reports, dashboards and maps.
• Review and consolidate data from multiple sources using FME, SQL, Python and REST.
• Communicate complex technical issues to non-technical GIS users.
• Provide support for data maintenance and data quality efforts.
• Support tracking and reporting for GIS data and electric distribution metrics.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize assignments; manage time effectively.
• Analyze problems, identify causes, and propose solutions.
• Support Emergency Restoration across the service territory.
