Position Summary:
CMS Energy is seekingGIS / CAD Operator IIprofessionals to support our Low Voltage Electric design operations. This role primarily involves data input into GIS Mapping Systems based on electric design work orders. Candidates will work under general supervision and are expected to perform a variety of technical and scientific support tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Input Low Voltage Electric design work orders into the GIS Mapping System.
• Interpret and analyze design documentation and electric work orders.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive project data.
• Keep accurate records using logs, spreadsheets, and internal tracking tools.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
• Assist with training of junior staff and promote team collaboration.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
• Uphold high standards of ethics, professionalism, and communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (e.g., GIS, CAD, drafting, electric design).
• Experience using GIS Mapping Systems and interpreting technical design documents.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to comply with onsite training requirements in Grand Rapids, MI.
• Flexibility to work from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday; overtime possible.

• Work Location:While this role is primarily remote, the first ~2 months of training will be held onsite in Grand Rapids, MI. Preference will be given to candidates within commuting distance.
