POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lease Operator is a fully competent professional working under moderate supervision. Responsible for routine duties including monitoring, maintaining, and reporting on well and site operations on an assigned route. The role involves making routine inspections, managing production data, troubleshooting equipment, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, and participating in safety meetings and on-call rotations.

• Perform routine checks on all well sites according to schedule, monitor production equipment, and perform light maintenance to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Inspect lease sites for cleanliness and vegetation overgrowth.
• Manage daily fluid production, gauge and record oil and water tank levels.
• Gather and submit production data and reports timely and accurately.
• Analyze production issues, troubleshoot, and collaborate with team members.
• Communicate daily plans and issues with the production foreman, participate in well reviews and safety meetings.
• Optimize production safely and cost-effectively.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, recognize and troubleshoot artificial lift systems, and assess route efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills and team effectiveness.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies and use PPE properly.
• Familiarity with electronic measurement data collection software such as Cygnet, FDC, and FlowCal.
• Preferred: 2 years of oil field experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to walk, climb, stand, and work in various outdoor conditions.
• Visual acuity for driving and operational tasks.
• Repetitive motion capability, lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work at heights and in physically demanding environments.
