Job summary

Audia Plastics is seeking an Assistant Operator at their LaFayette facility. In this role, you will handle raw material transfers, maintain equipment, and package products. The position offers competitive pay starting at $20/hour with additional benefits and a night shift premium. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and the ability to work long shifts.

Competitive starting pay:$20/ plus $1.50 night shift premium as well as annual increases based on performance and a potential bonus opportunity twice a year

Schedule:We work 12 hour rotating shifts with every other weekend off. We are hiring for night shift4pm-4am.Moving to days4am-4pmis based on hire date

Duties of the Assistant Operator include:

• Raw material transfer systems for facility extruders
• Locate raw materials in the warehouse
• Responsible for maintaining resin silo levels and refilling when needed
• Provide relief coverage for other extrusion operators during breaks
• Become familiar with mixer job requirements for the facility
• Record material identification and amounts of material used
• Package and properly label finished material and place in holding area
• Wear proper PPE as designated by the work instruction.
• Maintain clean and safe working environment

Preferred experience, training and skills:

• High school diploma or GEDREQUIRED
• Ability to work on a rotating 12 hour shift schedule from 4pm-4am
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to stand/walk up to 12 hours during the shift
• Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day as needed
