Job summary
The City of Billings GIS Analyst position performs intermediate to advanced spatial analysis, designs, configures, and maintains web-based GIS applications and mobile field data collection workflows. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or closely related field.
- 4–6 years of professional GIS experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise, web app configuration, and enterprise geodatabase management.
Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate to advanced spatial analysis and geoprocessing to support city initiatives.
- Configure and maintain web-based GIS applications and dashboards.
- Support mobile GIS apps for field data collection and asset inspections.
- Automate data transfers and workflows using Python/ArcPy.
- Ensure data quality and metadata standards across datasets.
- Provide technical support and training to City staff.
