Job summary

NV5 is seeking a GIS Analyst - Photogrammetrist to support survey-grade mapping and reality capture programs. The role focuses on photogrammetry and mobile mapping, advancing standardized workflows and producing datasets for Digital Twins and DOT projects.

The position is onsite at NV5 Geospatial, Dulles, VA, with travel under 10%. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in photogrammetric production, strong planimetric and terrain modeling skills, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, GIS, Geography, or related field.
3+ years of professional photogrammetric production experience for DOT and design-grade mapping.
Strong understanding of planimetric and digital terrain modeling techniques.
Solid surveying and mapping principles and accuracy standards.
Team leadership or mentoring experience.
Strong communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

Process airborne and terrestrial imagery and perform aerial triangulation.
Generate DEM/DTM and support photogrammetric accuracy QA/QC.
Integrate mobile LiDAR and imagery with traditional photogrammetry.
Extract features and align datasets across mobile, aerial, and terrestrial sources.
Support reality capture programs feeding Digital Twins and asset inventories.
Collaborate with GIS and asset management teams to enable downstream use.
Assist in production workflow development and standardization.
Support datasets used for Digital Twins, GIS integration, and asset management.
