City of Dallas is seeking an experienced GIS Analyst III to provide advanced analysis, programming, and testing to support the City’s GIS. The role maintains user software, conducts network administration, acquires hardware, and maintains GIS operations.

You will develop web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and Django; modify GIS applications for efficiency; and produce high-quality documentation and reports. Bachelor’s degree and 2 years GIS experience required.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Planning, CS, IS, Science, Tech or Math.
Two years of experience designing and/or implementing GIS.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Equivalency options listed in posting require appropriate years of experience.

Mansioni

Provide daily operational GIS support and lead analysts, technicians, and customers.
Develop and maintain web GIS apps using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python/Django.
Support ongoing GIS development, test software, and document changes.
Prepare technical reports and update zoning/property information.
Mentor GIS technicians on databases, software, and tools.
Coordinate GIS database development for facilities and inspections.
Assist in software/hardware specification, installation, and deployment.
Analyze software/hardware needs and recommend improvements.
Create advanced GIS reports from databases and activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
