Job summary

Gwinnett County Government seeks a GIS Analyst I to support the GIS team by analyzing data, troubleshooting user issues, and creating maps and data layers for zoning, land use, and planning activities. The role involves producing digital data, performing quality control, and assisting with web applications using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least one year of GIS experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
One year of directly related GIS experience is preferred.
Equivalently, a combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Provides complex technical support and troubleshoots GIS system problems for users.
Creates, designs, and modifies maps and reports for County personnel and the public; maintains GIS data for planning activities.
Produces digital data for County personnel, contractors, and the public in various formats.
Performs quality control for GIS tasks including data conversion and data analysis.
Assists with creating and maintaining maps, data layers, and web apps using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Keeps abreast of technological advances and researches technical solutions for applications.
