Job summary

Grayson County is seeking a GIS Junior Analyst to design, develop, and support GIS solutions for the Development Services Department. The role involves creating GIS databases, publishing internal and public GIS services, and assisting with the interoperable GIS initiatives.

You will work with ESRI software including ArcGIS Pro 3.0+, manage data quality, and support emergency management and planning teams. A related associate degree is required, with a preference for a bachelor’s and a GISP

Qualifications

2 years’ experience with ESRI software, including ArcPro 3.0+ and GIS design, development and administration.
Associate Degree in Geographic Information Systems or closely related field; Bachelor preferred.
GISP Certificate is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement GIS applications, tools, workflows, and database models.
Create, maintain, and update GIS databases, layers, maps, templates, and datasets.
Develop and publish GIS services for internal and public use, including ArcGIS Online web applications.
Administer GIS servers, workstations, and system software; install updates and troubleshoot issues.
Manage system access, permissions, and security for GIS users.
Produce maps and spatial analyses for planning, development, emergency management, law enforcement, and economic development.
