Job summary

Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) is seeking a GIS Analyst to support the Electric GIS program by developing solutions that improve field data collection, data quality, and operational efficiency. You will be the primary GIS resource, delivering accurate geospatial information for engineering, operations, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or closely related field required.
• 1–3 years of demonstrated experience in a related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across departments.
• Analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online applications, maps, dashboards, and GIS services.
• Design GIS workflows to improve data collection, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Lead drone imagery and LiDAR program planning, processing, QA, and deliverables.
• Integrate field and remotely sensed data into enterprise GIS with data quality in mind.
• Create maps, analyses, reports, and geospatial products to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, field staff, and external stakeholders to improve GIS solutions and processes.
• Provide GIS technical support and training as needed.
• Stay current with GIS, drone, and remote sensing technologies and best practices.
