Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking a GIS Analyst to support the GIS Coordinator across a range of GIS projects. You will analyze data, develop complex maps, configure web GIS solutions, and build ArcGIS automation for internal and external clients.

The role requires 3–5 years’ ESRI GIS experience, proficiency with ArcGIS Pro/Online, CAD familiarity, GPS data collection, and strong teamwork and communication skills. A valid driver’s license and region-wide travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, Computer Science, or GIS-related field from an accredited college or university.
• 3-5 years’ experience of GIS ESRI suite of software, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Field Maps, Dashboards, Story Maps, Web App Builder or Experience Builder.
• Knowledge of GIS as it relates to land development, local government, public works, planning, municipal engineering, water resources, environmental permitting, transportation and transportation planning.
• Relational databases and Esri programming languages (Arcade, Python, Visual Basic, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with CAD data and data conversion to GIS.
• Experience with high-accuracy GPS data collection.
• Valid driver’s license; regional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare advanced detailed maps and GIS automation using GIS software and CAD (Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Produce presentation quality maps for internal use.
• Develop and manage quality control procedures and process documentation.
• Acquire spatial data and integrate datasets into the organization’s GIS.
• Maintain high attention to detail across concurrent tasks and deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
• Additional duties as assigned.
