Job summary

Harvest Midstream in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced GIS professional to advance its pipeline GIS program. You will manage enterprise geospatial data, automate workflows, support regulatory reporting, and mentor team members.

The role requires 8+ years in midstream GIS with ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise, PODS data handling, and SQL proficiency. Excellent communication and collaboration are essential in a fast paced environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Eight (8)+ years of progressively responsible midstream pipeline GIS experience.
• Expertise managing enterprise geospatial data and geodatabases.
• Working knowledge of PODS architecture, SQL Server, and SSMS.
• Experience building GIS workflows and enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve enterprise pipeline geospatial data within PODS and ArcGIS platforms.
• Develop GIS workflows, automation, and analytical tools.
• Perform advanced GIS analysis for regulatory and engineering needs.

Job Objective:Advance the company's pipeline and midstream GIS program through enterprise geospatial data management, solution development, and continuous process improvement. Serve as a technical resource supporting operations, compliance, integrity, and business initiatives through accurate and reliable asset information.Essential Job Responsibilities:Manage, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise pipeline geospatial data within PODS, ArcGIS Enterprise, and related GIS platforms to ensure accurate and reliable asset information.Develop and enhance GIS workflows, standards, automation, Experience Builder applications, and analytical tools.Perform advanced GIS analysis supporting pipeline integrity, engineering, regulatory compliance, and other business initiatives, including class location studies, HCA evaluations, and jurisdictional determinations.Review and validate GIS deliverables supporting state and federal regulatory reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.Serve as a technical resource for GIS issues by providing guidance, troubleshooting system and data issues, and recommending effective geospatial solutions.Support enterprise GIS initiatives, including application enhancements, data migrations, system integrations, and implementation of new GIS capabilities.Mentor GIS team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and review of work products.Establish priorities, identify improvement opportunities, and support the continued growth and modernization of the GIS program.Other Job Responsibilities:Demonstrate commitment to company core values — Integrity, Ownership, Urgency, Alignment, and Innovation — in all daily responsibilities and interactions.Actively support and contribute to the company’s mission and vision through reliable, high-quality work.Other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:RequiredEight (8) or more years of progressively responsible midstream pipeline GIS experience utilizing ArcGIS Map/Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and related Esri technologies.Demonstrated experience managing enterprise geospatial data, including geodatabases, linear referenced pipeline data, and data validation.Working knowledge of PODS relational database architecture, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and SQL scripting.Experience developing GIS workflows, automation, Experience Builder applications, and enterprise GIS solutions.Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to travel up to 10%.PreferredExperience with New Century Software (NCS) Data Management and Integrity Management Suite of applications.Experience supporting pipeline compliance and integrity programs, including class location studies, HCA analysis, ILI alignment, spill modeling, or similar pipeline GIS analysis.Working knowledge of 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195 and their application to pipeline GIS, integrity management, and regulatory reporting.Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college in Geosciences or a related field or equivalent experience.About UsHarvest Midstream is a privately-held midstream services provider headquartered in Houston, Texas with assets in Alaska, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, and Texas.
