Job Description

We are seeking GIS-specific data analysts, data wranglers, and data scientists with excellent leadership, technical, and subject matter expertise. Our ideal candidates believe geospatial data is the new gold — the new platinum. Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing Geographic Databases using GIS / GPS and advanced technologies for purposes such as addressing, utility mapping, decision support, converting paper products to digital formats, and maintaining FGDC or ISO-compliant metadata.
  2. Applying expertise in GIS software (primarily ESRI ArcGIS, ERDAS, GeoServer) and data formats for geographic analysis.
  3. Creating maps, reports, and presentations to support GIS and technology projects.
  4. Developing and maintaining database links, scripts, and using tools like Python, ArcPy, Perl, PHP, XML Parsing, SQL, and ETL tools.
  5. Creating or editing programs to produce maps and automate procedures.
  6. Troubleshooting GIS system issues related to data processing, delivery, and lifecycle management.

Note: This role is not for GIS Administrator or Application Developer but requires experience in using GIS systems to produce data solutions.

We seek analysts who are natural change agents, passionate about innovation, and empathetic to client environments. Leadership, technical expertise, and self-motivation are essential.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant geospatial experience, including 2 years leading a team of geospatial technicians.
  • 3-5 years using ArcGIS or related tools for analysis, cartography, and modeling; experience with ERDAS Imagine or similar for raster analysis.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, AML, VBA, or similar.
  • Experience with file and enterprise geodatabase systems.
  • Ability to understand project scope, requirements, and objectives for geospatial analysis and automation.
  • Ability to coordinate workload for team members as needed.
  • Knowledge of geospatial theories such as coordinate systems, projections, and modeling.
  • Preferred: Experience with Leica Geosystems (ERDAS) Imagine and raster data processing.

Note: Must be local to Denver; no relocation assistance provided.

Benefits
  • Work-life balance with 40-50 hour weeks and paid time off.
  • Competitive salary with recognition and performance bonuses.
  • Paid time off including 11 holidays.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage.
  • Retirement plan with company match and multiple fund options.
