Job summary

Dominion High School in Sterling, Virginia seeks a Girls Tennis Head Coach to lead a varsity program and oversee the spring season. The role includes directing training, scheduling, and mentoring student-athletes to compete at a high level.

You will work with the athletic director to supervise coaches, ensure eligibility, and promote good sportsmanship and school pride. This is a part-time coaching position with responsibilities across the season.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid certification or enrollment in training.
• Virginia teaching license preferred or full-time classified employee status for Loudoun County Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director/principal in hiring or retaining assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate all assistant coaches in the sport.
• Ensure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
• Collaborate with head coaches to operate a balanced athletics program.
• Foster values of athletics, sportsmanship, and school pride.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of varsity team; supervise assistants.
• Ensure team presence at varsity contests and supervise JV/freshman events as possible.
• Advise schedules and equipment needs to athletic director.
• Monitor facility conditions and readiness for competitions.
• Assist in eligibility and roster processes for contests.
