Job summary

Children's Company is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer to lead garment construction, specifications, and fit for kids' apparel in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with Design and Production to develop high-quality, cost-effective garments, manage block patterns, and coordinate with overseas vendors to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of Technical Design experience.
• Extensive knowledge of children's apparel, garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and PLM systems.
• Experience with TUKA and 3D design systems is a plus.
• Previous technical design experience in children's apparel is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of garment construction, manufacturing methods, and textiles for both knit and woven apparel.
• Create and maintain development and production specifications, including grading, for girls' sizes Newborn through Size 16.
• Partner with Design and Production teams to develop high-quality, cost-effective garments.
• Maintain and manage block patterns and fit standards.
• Document all fit sessions and provide clear, detailed comments, specifications, diagrams, and photos to vendors.
• Coordinate daily with overseas vendors and factories to ensure development and production remain on schedule.
• Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports throughout all fit phases, identify potential delays, and escalated risks to management when necessary.
