Job summary

Gilead Community Services is seeking a skilled and recovery-oriented clinician to join our multi-disciplinary program staff in New Britain, CT. This per diem position provides group treatment services to adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include individual and group therapy, biopsychosocial intake, treatment planning, and coordination with medical staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services required.
• License required (LCSW, LMFT or LPC) within 18 months of hire; Associate License permitted on hire.
• Experience providing addictions and mental health treatment.
• Familiarity with ASAM criteria.
• Computer proficient; able to use an EMR to maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Conduct biopsychosocial intake assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and required documentation timely.
• Coordinate care with Medical Director and prescribing professionals.
• Establish collateral relationships with families, landlords, police, and other supports.

Gilead Community Services is seeking a skilled and recovery-oriented clinician to join our multi-disciplinary program staff.

Join Gilead’s New Britain residential substance use disorder treatment program and make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults working toward recovery. Per diem clinicians provide group treatment services to individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

This flexible per diem position offers variable days or evening hours based on program needs; generally, weekend, holidays and coverage when primary clinicians are on vacation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s Degree required in human services, License required (LCSW, LMFT or LPC) within 18 months of hire (Associate License required upon hire)
• Previous clinical experience providing addictions and mental health treatment
• Familiarity with ASAM criteria
• Computer proficient and able to use an EMR to maintain timely documentation
• Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
• Reliable use of personal vehicle as needed

Responsibilities:

• Providing individual and group therapy to adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues
• Conducting biopsychosocial intake assessments, developing treatment plans and administering other required assessment tools
• Maintaining clinical records and required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
• Consulting with the program staff, Medical Director, and prescribing professionals regarding coordination of care, risk management, and any medical and mental health needs
• Establishing and maintaining collateral relationships important for the well-being of clients (families, landlords, police, legal system, employers, other agencies and treatment providers and any other community supports)

This is a non-union, per diem positions the rate of pay is $50.00.
