Position Summary:
The Gifts and Data Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily entry of gifts into Manhattan University’s donor database, ensuring all data is recorded accurately and promptly. This role also includes maintaining and updating constituent information in accordance with the University’s data standards. The Coordinator also supports and cross-trains with the Director of Advancement Services, assisting with complex gift processing and data entry issues, and providing timely problem resolution. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the Raiser’s Edge NXT database, including donor information, gift tracking, pledges and alumni/ fundraising event details.
Oversee the processing of donations, including online, offline, matching gifts, pledge payments, and event-based gifts.
Generate and prepare reports, queries, exports and lists for team members.
Effectively finds solutions to database problems that relate to gift and/or constituent records; proactively leads regular database hygiene and maintenance efforts, including duplicate record management and periodic audits.
Provides expedited problem solving for complex gift and data entry questions from other team members.
Maintains a working knowledge of all Development Operations data systems, including The Raiser’s Edge, LexisNexis, GiveCampus, Omatic, and others as necessary.
Manage tracking of donor acknowledgements and other donor communications
Processes, validates and imports monthly gifts on a regular schedule.
Assists with special events (including some evenings and occasional weekends) as necessary.
Maintains donor confidence and protects Manhattan University’s interests by keeping information confidential.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, some higher education required.
1-year experience with The Raiser’s Edge database preferred.
Microsoft Office Suite experience, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
Previous experience with data entry preferred.
Demonstrated experience following precise multi-step procedures and meeting deadlines.
Experience prioritizing and organizing multiple and complex tasks.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
