Bentonville Schools is seeking a Gifted & Talented Teacher to foster student growth using district-approved curricula and to document progress and outcomes. You will provide feedback to students, parents, and the administration, while creating a flexible, safe learning environment and promoting responsible citizenship.

Collegial collaboration with grade-level staff, lesson planning, and ongoing assessment are required to tailor instruction for diverse learners.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiates instruction based upon student learning styles.
• Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
• Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
• Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitates student success in academic and interpersonal skills through district approved curriculum.
• Develops and administers elementary curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Creates lesson plans and translates them into learning experiences for effective use of time.
• Assesses student learning and adapts instruction to meet individual needs, including special needs.
• Maintains accurate records of grading and reporting in accordance with policy.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates student progress and goals.
• Coordinates with staff to evaluate curriculum and participate in meetings.
• Selects books, supplies and maintains inventory; supervises activities outside class.
• Administers standardized tests per district programs.
