Job summary

Ball State University is seeking a Gift Processor and Matching Gifts Specialist to join the Finance Department. The role focuses on accurately recording, processing, and acknowledging charitable contributions while ensuring data quality and donor trust across complex gift types.

Responsibilities include processing daily gifts, assisting with matching gifts, and maintaining records in the CRM database with strict adherence to IRS and PCI standards. Start date is 09/07/2026.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• One to three years of business or office administration-related, banking, or accounting or financially related experience.
• Attention to detail, Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word, ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process charitable contributions daily. Apply appropriate processing methods and special handling requirements for unique gift types, including but not limited to, securities, gift-in-kind, donor advised funds, honorariums/memorials, corporate gifts, quid pro quo, matching gifts, gift of property, IRA’s, and planned gifts.
• Resolve issues such as credit card or digital gift declines and rejections. Prepare approvals for gift adjustments.
• Deposit all checks and cash for Ball State University Foundation, Ball State Alumni Association, Cardinal Funds, Cardinal Properties and other supporting organizations.
