This role includes intraprocedural support, specimen handling, safety initiatives, and room preparation in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities under supervision of RN or physician, including intraprocedural support.
• Assist physicians with specimen retrieval, preservation, labeling and lab transport.
• Support safety initiatives such as timeout processes and reporting safety events.
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment per physician instructions; assemble instruments.
• Perform high-level disinfection and reprocessing of equipment per standards.
• Document procedures, images, and patient charges using endoscope and ultrasound systems.
• Maintain unit inventory; monitor supplies and perform clerical duties including phones, filing, and data entry.
