Job summary

Aurora Health Care seeks a Nursing Assistant to support RNs in patient care within a hospital setting. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and daily activities, while documenting vital data in the EMR.

Role requires good communication, basic data entry, and adherence to infection control practices, with opportunities to grow through ongoing training and certification maintenance.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights, and other patient data in EMR.
• Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and communicates observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision of RN.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum samples and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Cleans equipment and work areas; maintains stock for nursing area.
