Job summary

UNC Health in Hillsborough, NC, seeks a qualified Clinical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in a hospital setting. You will coordinate patient care, collaborate with the care team, and participate in ongoing education to meet patient learning needs.

Requirements include a board-approved nursing program graduate, RN licensure in North Carolina, and BLS certification. One year of nursing experience is preferred, with a 40-hour workweek and on-site assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Education: identifies learning needs and attends education programs; assesses readiness to learn of patient/family/caregivers.
