Job summary

The Surgery Center of Ft. Lauderdale is seeking a GI Technician in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to join our full-time team. You will assist the RN with pre- and post-operative care, help maintain clean and orderly pre/post areas, and transport patients as needed.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, ensuring all pre-op testing, H&P, and paperwork are on chart, and supporting family members during post-op instructions. The role emphasizes safety and infection control within our ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required; some college preferred.
• Experience or interest in healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of GI procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN in preparing patients for surgery and post-op care.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of pre/post-op areas.
• Transports patients to and from procedure rooms.
• Takes vital signs and ensures required paperwork is on chart.
• Coordinates patient transportation and family communication.
• Participates in QAPI, Infection Control and Safety programs.
