Job summary

The Surgery Center of Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced GI Registered Nurse for a full-time role in our Endoscopy practice. This position emphasizes teamwork, strong patient service, and the ability to perform with minimal supervision in a bustling ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate will provide nursing care, assist with procedures, and help maintain endoscopes and equipment. Florida license and CPR/ACLS are required, with a minimum of 2 years GI experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of GI experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics

• Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and actively participate in the Endoscopy Unit management.
• Maintain endoscopes and other specialized equipment used in endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures.
• Provide technical assistance during endoscopic procedures in the OR.
• Work in a fast-paced ambulatory center with a priority on excellent patient service.
