Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in pre- and post-operative GI procedures.
• Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans with the team.
• Educate patients and families about GI conditions, procedures and post-operative care.
• Assist during endoscopies and colonoscopies, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and report adverse events.
• Collaborate with physicians and procedural teams to deliver care.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and uphold patient advocacy.
