Norwalk Hospital, part of Northwell Health, seeks a Registered Nurse in the Gastroenterology and peri-operative care teams. The role provides direct patient care guided by the ANA scope of practice and requires collaboration with patients, families, peers, physicians and other team members to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include pre-op assessments, education, care coordination, and adherence to compliance standards.

Qualificações

• RN with active CT license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS credentials required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform ongoing patient assessments related to anesthesia and surgery.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons and other providers for pre-op documentation.
• Identify learning needs and provide pre-operative education.
• Prioritize patient care and coordinate additional testing as needed.
• Manage patient and family expectations for peri-operative care.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary functions to ensure safe surgical activities.
• Fulfill all compliance responsibilities for the role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
