Job summary

The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist for GI in Newberg. The role offers hybrid/remote work after training, with on-site presence at the GI South Clinic in Newberg and occasional coverage at other sites.

Responsibilities include scheduling tests, managing the work-queue, handling calls, and updating insurance and EMR records. Requires medical office experience and EMR familiarity, with Epic a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience in a medical office is preferred; GI experience is a plus.
• One year in surgery or complex scheduling is preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; Epic experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Ability to initiate, work independently, and multitask effectively.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and team spirit.
• Professional communication with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Schedule clinic tests and in-office procedures.
• Maintain and process service and procedure work-queue requests.
• Make outbound calls and handle incoming return calls.
• Cover Care Team scheduler when needed.
• Obtain and complete insurance information.
• Update registration and EMR records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
