Job summary

The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist for the Gastroenterology East clinics in Northeast Portland and Happy Valley. Responsibilities include scheduling, collecting insurance info, and supporting front desk/medical records with high-volume, patient-focused service.

Qualifications include at least 1 year in a medical office, EMR familiarity (Epic preferred), and strong communication skills. Competitive benefits and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year work experience, preferably in a medical office.
• GI specialty experience is a plus.
• Prior EMR experience is preferred; Epic experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently and multitask.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, physicians and team members.
• Commitment to patient-focused care, privacy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for new and established patients efficiently.
• Obtain and complete insurance information.
• Provide coverage for medical records and front desk teams.
• Update records as needed.
