Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a RN Advisor (Triage RN) to provide telephone-based nursing care for cancer patients, using established guidelines and the EHR to document and coordinate care. The role focuses on triage, education, and clinical assessment for GI oncology patients in a busy program with advanced treatments.

Requirements include 2+ years of Oncology nursing experience, US RN license (Florida preferred), and BLS.

Qualifications

BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience.
ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience.
FL RN License.
BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

Answer calls using Moffitt Promise Guidelines (AIDET), the quality caring factors, and the nursing process to assess the patient's issue, plan and properly evaluate the care.
Complete, accurate and timely nursing documentation.
Exercise clinical judgment and decision making.
Recognizes emergencies and takes appropriate action.
Identify, document and provide accurate and appropriate patient education.
Participate in evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice.
Participate in professional development based on the nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements and job expectations.
